Fire & Ice Red Carpet
It’s no secret actresses and actors seem to always have perfectly rosy and glowing complexions. But now everyone can be red carpet ready with the exact same beauty weapon being used in Hollywood and Beverly Hills. It’s considered the “hottest” and “coolest” treatment out there, has been used by both Halle Berry and Gwyneth Paltrow, and was voted celebrity facial of the year by InStyle magazine.
It’s called the “Fire & Ice Facial” by iS Clinical, but it’s so much more than that.
“This is a medical grade treatment in between a facial and a peel,” said Christine Crandall, a registered nurse. Crandall performs the treatment on patients at the All New You Cosmetic Surgery Institute in Beachwood.
- The first step is the “fire” part of the facial, which is 18 percent glycolic, with vitamins A and B mixed with warm cinnamon, so it smells really nice.
- Next the skin is neutralized and the “ice” is applied.
- “The ice has peppermint which is cool brisk and hydraluronic acid adds moisture to the cell and there’s aloe Vera and green tea extract as well,”
Unlike some facials, which might improve the appearance of the skin’s texture, Fire & Ice literally changes the skin at the cellular level.
“It helps with the decrease of fine lines and wrinkles, retinol will help stimulate collagen and elastin, antioxidants do that as well, so it does give that long-term anti-aging effects.”
Unlike other more severe peels, there is no downtime.
