Microdermabrasion is the process of buffing the top layers of dead skin to expose new healthy glowing skin.  It is a deep exfoliation process that targets the epidermis, the most outer layer of surface skin, revealing a fresh layer of skin below. It is a wonderful non-invasive, non-surgical procedure perfect for removing fine wrinkles, sun spots, age spots, enlarged pores, acne and surface acne scars. Although the face is the most common area for microdermabrasion treatments can be done on any part of the body including neck, chest, back, and hands.Using a combination of exfoliating crystals and vacuum suction applied directly to the skin, microdermabrasion is generally apainless procedure involving no own time at all. The vacuum pressure and speed are adjusted depending on the sensitivity and tolerance of the skin. Typical microdermabrasion sessions can last anywhere from five to 60 minutes. Minimal to no recovery time is required after microdermabrasion and most people immediately return to daily activity after a session. Makeup and non-irritating creams can usually be applied right after treatment. And usually immediate results can be seen in the glow of the fresh new skin exposed.

Since Skin typically renews itself every 30 days or so, Treatment is typically recommended every two to four weeks to seea continued improvement in the condition of the skin. Multiple treatments in combination with sunscreen, sun avoidance, and a good skin-care regime are alsosuggested to achieve the treatment’smaximum results.

The best candidates for microdermabrasion are anyone from ages 12-65 who want to improve the look of their skin and add glow to otherwise dull and sallow skin. For most superficial skin problems, look no further than microdermabrasion, it just may be the solution to all of your superficial skin problems.
